The Carol Bush Emeny Performance Hall is located at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts across Buchanan Street from the Amarillo Civic Center in downtown. This 1,300 seat proscenium theatre has been meticulously modeled after the natural features of Amarillo and the Texas panhandle to provide an aesthetic experience to guests of the facility.
This performance hall has been designed with acoustical excellence in mind and serves as a landmark in downtown Amarillo. It is equipped with a one-of-a-kind orchestra shell that can retract into the upstage area to reveal a fully-equipped road house.
Featuring a sprung dance floor, hydraulic orchestra pit, and a complete fly system, the Carol Bush Emeny Performance Hall is equipped to host a variety of live performances and events.
The backstage area is comprised of two main floors with a multitude of dressing rooms ranging from single rooms up to large cast-style rooms. There is also a large green room for artists, private shower rooms, and a laundry facility.
Upon entering the Globe-News Center, guests walk into the gorgeous, three level lobby area that serves as a beautiful pre-function space. The first and second floors enter into the orchestra level of the theatre and the third floor of the lobby enters into balcony seating which overlooks the stage.
