ADA Accessibility

Individuals with disabilities who require special accommodations or a sign language interpreter at an event must contact the Amarillo Civic Center Complex at (806) 378-4297 or the City of Amarillo’s TDD number at (806) 378-4229. 

The Amarillo Civic Center Complex is accessible to individuals with disabilities throughout all entrances. Access ramps are also located at designated entrances. Parking spaces for individuals with disabilities are available in adjacent parking areas.

The Amarillo Civic Center and the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts are equipped with restroom facilities, communications equipment, and elevators that are accessible. 


Wheelchair Accessibility

All main entries to the Civic Center are wheelchair accessible. The following list indicates the best access to each of the Civic Center’s venues:

  • In the Civic Center Auditorium, the wheelchair access is from the top last row closest to the Lobby or by elevator to the ten rows closest to the stage.
  • In the Cal Farley Coliseum, wheelchairs can be accommodated in the top of Sections 104, 108, 112, 118, 119, 123, and 127.
  • The Grand Plaza, Regency Room, North Exhibit Hall, South Exhibit Hall, Heritage Room, and other Civic Center rooms have unlimited wheelchair access.

All entrances at the Globe News-Center for the Performing Arts are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair access is available by elevator to all floors of the lobby areas. Inside the performance hall, wheelchairs can be accommodated just inside House Left and House right on the first floor level as well as in Row H in the third floor balcony level.
